Day 7 in France

So I guess I got distracted once I came home and forgot to post the last day in France. Actually the last day was probably one of the most relaxing. In the morning, Ivan went by the bakery and got some yummy quiches to eat for breakfast.

We had finally gotten used to the metro so we metro'd to a place near Notre Dame. There is this small island right behind Notre Dame which had flower shops, cheese  shops, gelato places, butcher shops, doll shops, candy shops, etc. It was a very small street but had a lot of people. It was very fun.

Then we visited the Latin Quarter. It was pretty neat, very busy. We weren't planning on eating anytime soon and there were a lot of restaurants. We then walked all the way to the Champs Elysees (which is a long way)... we walked along the Seine river.

We stopped to have Haagen Daz ice cream fondue. It was pretty good. The store had the worst service though and all menu items were extremely over priced. Anyway, this fondue had little balls of ice cream that you dipped in the chocolate. It was neat.

Then we walked back by Notre Dame and found a painter. Needless to say, we bought an oil painting.

We went home to have our last dinner with Ivan's family and packed for the long flight the next day.

  1. Mmmm! That fondue must have been great with the ice cream. That sounds so neat (dipping ice cream like that). You should post a picture of your oil painting. It is so pretty! Wasn't EVERYTHING overpriced there? LOL
